About the role:

The Senior Development Contributions Officer will administer development contributions, planning agreements, and works-in-kind agreements to support the delivery of local infrastructure. They will undertake the review, preparation, and implementation of Development Contribution Plans, policies, and procedures, ensuring they remain effective, compliant, and aligned with organisational priorities.

The position also maintains the accuracy and integrity of systems, records, and plans related to development contributions and planning agreements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, it supports the funding and delivery of local infrastructure projects identified within contribution plans and agreements, helping to ensure infrastructure is provided in line with community growth and development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in town planning, economics, project management or other related discipline;
  • A sound working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation in relation to developer contributions and planning agreements;
  • Demonstrated understanding of working with contributions plans, voluntary planning agreements and works in kind agreements;
  • High level analytical, creative thinking, negotiation and conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated understanding of new release area planning and infrastructure provision
  • Demonstrated ability to review processes and procedures and to improve service delivery
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS, and ethical practice principles and to act with probity at all times
