**Overview**
The Canadian Christian Recreational Association is seeking a Volunteer Web Developer to support our digital presence by maintaining and enhancing our WordPress website. This short\-term volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone looking to use their web development skills to make a meaningful impact while supporting a growing national nonprofit organization.
This position requires approximately **2 hours per week for 8 weeks** and offers the opportunity to contribute to projects that help engage members, volunteers, and the broader community.
Position Available
**Volunteer Web Developer (WordPress)** **Term:** 8 Weeks (Approximately 2 Hours per Week)
**Duties**
* Maintain and update the organization's WordPress website. * Incorporate and display social media feeds and links throughout the website. * Add and maintain league and event game schedules. * Update website content, pages, images, and announcements as requested. * Assist with improving website navigation, layout, and user experience. * Ensure website content remains accurate, current, and mobile\-friendly. * Work collaboratively with the Communications and Marketing teams to support organizational initiatives. * Identify opportunities to improve website functionality and recommend enhancements where appropriate.
**Requirements**
* Experience using and maintaining WordPress websites. * Familiarity with WordPress themes, plugins, menus, and page builders. * Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website best practices is an asset. * Experience integrating social media platforms into WordPress websites. * Ability to update schedules, content, and website information efficiently. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. * Ability to commit approximately **2 hours per week for 8 weeks**. * Experience working with nonprofit organizations is an asset but not required. * A passion for community service and supporting a faith\-based organization is encouraged.
