Your role:
The Head of Cybersecurity Delivery will lead the successful delivery of our cybersecurity portfolio across consulting engagements, transformation programs, and managed security services. This executive leadership role is accountable for driving delivery excellence, client outcomes, operational performance, quality assurance, capability growth, and innovation across a broad range of cybersecurity domains.
You have several years' experience leading large-scale and complex cybersecurity programs, managing globally dispersed (onshore & offshore) multi-disciplinary teams, and providing strategic and technical direction across security transformation initiatives.
You are accountable for ensuring cybersecurity engagements are delivered with excellence, providing trusted technical leadership to clients, building a world-class cyber delivery organization, and driving measurable business and security outcomes. Ideally already based in Melbourne or Sydney.
Your responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership:
- Own and lead end-to-end delivery outcomes across cybersecurity consulting, projects, professional services, and managed services engagements.
- Ensure successful delivery of scope, quality, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Establish and drive delivery governance, risk management, reporting, and quality assurance practices.
- Act as the executive escalation point for complex delivery challenges and critical client engagements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, client-centricity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Lead complex Cybersecurity Program Delivery across:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Security Uplift and Cyber Transformation
- Security Operations Centres (SOC)
- Managed Detection and Response (MDR)
- Vulnerability Management (VM)
- Zero Trust Architecture
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Cloud Security
- AI Security and Secure AI Adoption
- Security Architecture and Engineering
- Threat Management and Incident Response
Technical and Strategic Leadership:
- Maintain strong technical and architectural understanding across cybersecurity domains to provide informed guidance and strategic direction.
- Review and challenge solution architectures to ensure scalability, security, and alignment to client business objectives.
- Advise executive stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy, operating models, governance, and transformation roadmaps.
- Partner with solution, sales, and practice teams to shape complex client opportunities and provide delivery leadership during pursuits.
Team Leadership & Capability Development:
- Lead and mentor a diverse workforce comprising cybersecurity consultants, architects, engineers, analysts, project managers, and cyber operations teams.
- Build, grow, and mature cybersecurity delivery capabilities across consulting and managed services functions.
- Develop future leaders and foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and client success.
- Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, skills development, certification programs, and succession planning.
Managed Services & Operations Excellence:
- Oversee cybersecurity managed services delivery and operational performance.
- Drive service improvements, automation initiatives, operational efficiencies, and customer satisfaction outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, contractual commitments, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead continual service improvement programs leveraging AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
Innovation and Market Leadership:
- Drive the development and adoption of AI-powered cybersecurity offerings and services.
- Maintain strong awareness of emerging cyber threats, technologies, market trends, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with practice leaders to develop differentiated solutions and go-to-market strategies.
- Represent the organization as a trusted cybersecurity leader with clients, partners, and industry forums.
Your profile:
- 15+ years of cybersecurity experience with significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex cybersecurity transformation programs and managed security services.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across consulting, engineering, operations, and advisory functions.
- Strong expertise across several cybersecurity domains including IAM, SOC/MDR, Vulnerability Management, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, GRC, AI Security, and Security Architecture.
- Experience managing executive stakeholder relationships within large enterprises and regulated industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing delivery P&L, resource utilization, margins, and contractual obligations.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, operating models, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CRISC, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience leading global or geographically distributed delivery teams.
- Experience working within large consulting, professional services, or managed services organizations.
- Exposure to AI-enabled security platforms, security automation, and emerging cyber technologies.
