As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations General Manager to lead our Parkinson warehouse operations and play a key role in driving performance, customer satisfaction, team capability and operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director – Group Operations, the Warehouse Operations General Manager is responsible for leading warehouse operations, with accountability for people, customer service, ripening, pre-pack, receivals, dispatch, inventory management, quality assurance, food safety, WHS and overall operational performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong operational expertise, commercial awareness and the ability to build a highly capable team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all warehouse, ripening, pre-pack, receivals and dispatch activities.
- Ensure customer orders are delivered accurately, safely and on time.
- Drive accountability, performance and continuous improvement across all operational functions.
- Establish clear responsibilities, effective shift coverage and strong operational handovers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, growers, suppliers, transport providers and service partners.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, stock rotation and warehouse capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee warehouse quality systems, assessment standards and operational records.
- Ensure traceability, audit readiness and corrective actions are effectively maintained.
- Monitor labour costs, productivity, overtime, waste, claims and operational performance.
- Coordinate maintenance of ripening rooms, refrigeration systems, forklifts and packing equipment.
About You
Essential
- Significant experience leading warehouse, logistics, food production or fresh produce operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large operational teams.
- Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory control, dispatch and supply chain operations.
- Experience managing labour productivity, costs and operational performance.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality systems and Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Desirable
- Experience within fresh produce, horticulture, food manufacturing or cold-chain logistics.
- HACCP, Food Safety Supervisor or Quality Systems training.
- Formal qualifications in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or a related field.
- Forklift Licence (LF).
- Experience managing ripening operations and fresh produce supply chains.

Pay: $140,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
