Human Resource Coordinator
Job Description
OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Human Resources Generalist, the Human Resources Coordinator provides day-to-day support across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, training, health and safety administration, and other Human Resources activities.
This role will help ensure HR processes and documentation are organized, accurate, and completed on time while providing professional support to employees and management.

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time, Permanent on site role
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support recruitment by posting positions, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and completing reference checks.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, required documentation, and training.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee files, HR records, training records, and policy acknowledgements.
- Prepare routine HR documents, letters, forms, reports, and employee communications.
- Track probationary periods, training requirements, performance reviews, attendance documentation, and other HR deadlines.
- Respond to routine employee HR questions and escalate employee relations or compliance matters to the Human Resources Generalist.
- Support health and safety administration, including maintaining training records, documentation, and follow-up items.
- Assist with engagement initiatives and company events.
- Coordinate administrative requirements related to employee departures and offboarding.
- Support ongoing improvements to HR processes, forms, records, and administrative systems.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous Human Resources, recruitment, administrative, or office experience is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of Ontario employment and workplace legislation is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, candidates, supervisors, and managers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and the ability to learn HR and business systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently with appropriate direction.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Primarily an office-based position with regular interaction within a food manufacturing environment.
- Regular interaction with employees and management throughout the facility.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasional walking throughout the facility and light physical activity may be required.
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
