EPLAN Design Engineer
Location: Chennai, India Experience: 1–6 Years Employment Type: Full-Time
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and maintain electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Design control panels, MCC panels, and automation system electrical drawings.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, multi-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, cable schedules, and BOMs.
- Generate reports and manufacturing documents from EPLAN.
- Develop and maintain EPLAN macros, templates, and design standards.
- Coordinate with automation engineers for PLC I/O allocation and control system design.
- Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support panel builders and commissioning teams by resolving design-related issues.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Prepare technical documentation and project reports.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 1–6 years of experience in electrical design and automation projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with EPLAN Electric P8.
- Good understanding of industrial control panels and electrical systems.
- Experience in preparing:
- Electrical Schematics
- Control Panel Layouts
- Terminal Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar automation platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and international standards.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with up to 30 days notice period preferred.
