**About Central Gippsland Health**Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub\-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full\-time emergency department, critical care unit, Women’s and Children’s Unit, Special Care Nursery, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub\-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students. **About Department*** The Women’s and Children’s Unit at CGH is a dynamic and supportive team which provides: * Level 4 Maternity service * Level 3 Special Care Nursery * Pregnancy Care Clinic and Women’s Health clinic * Domiciliary Services * Maternal and Child Health team * Our team is made up of Consultant Obstetricians, Obstetric registrars, Registered Midwives, Student Midwives, Special care nursery nurses, Maternal child health nurses and a large allied health team
**About the Role** You will assist the nursing leadership team to operationalise the core values of the organisation in support of effective management and professional leadership as part of an integrated health service. As the primary nurse/Midwife you are accountable for establishing and evaluating the patient’s plan of care in partnership with the patient, their carers and other members of the health care team This will occur within the principles of care coordination, where patients/clients/residents have access to a highly coordinated health care and community support system. **Duties*** Demonstrated ability to practice within the domains and competencies that make up the National Competency standards for Registered Midwives * Promotes health and wellbeing through evidence\-based midwifery practice * Engages in professional relationships and respectful partnerships * Provides safety and quality in midwifery practice * Evaluates outcomes to improve midwifery practice
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience*** Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife holding current registration with the
