CHALK is one of the leading late-night venues in Brighton. We run weekly and monthly club nights and host a varied calendar of live music. As a valued member of the CHALK team, you will be working and attending the most exciting events in the city.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our team full-time. You will be expected to be as excited and passionate as we are about our current events and the events that you create with us. Experience in events, sales and marketing is a bonus but not essential.
The role is varied with four different aspects; administration, content creation, social media management and event assistance. You will be solely working on the venue's club night events.
Administration:
- Listing events and tickets on various channels.
- Assisting with staffing and recruitment.
- Customer service.
- Managing digital advertising campaigns.
Content creation
- Creating content for our social media channels.
- Creating images.
- Filming and editing videos.
Social media management
- Create and maintain social media marketing channels.
- Grow our audience organically.
Event assistance:
- Working evenings and late nights to oversee our events.
- Maintaining relationships with regular groups.
- Creating new sales opportunities.
- Stage management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media, and have experience running social channels either professionally or as a hobby. You will be enthusiastic about current trends in popular music, TV/films and fashion.
You will need to have experience in the following:
- Adobe suite
- Google Workspace
- CapCut
- Tiktok
- Snapchat
- Facebook (inc Business Suite and Ads Manager)
Full on-the-job training will be provided, but we expect you to have passion, enthusiasm and initiative. You are encouraged to up-skill in any area that we cover as a business. We highly value commitment to the team and there are plenty of opportunities for progression.
