Chefs de France in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Food and Beverage locations in the French pavilion located in the heart of Central Florida’s premier theme park. Chefs de France follows a 40+ year tradition of providing authentic French cuisine to our guests.

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources in a variety of Human Resource functions. This position acts as a resource to employees on HR matters and will be one of the first points of contact for our employees, so a high level of customer service skills is required. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative and operational support to the Director of Human Resources and day-to-day operations.
  • Serves as a resource for employees and new hires by responding to general HR questions and directing employees to appropriate resources and information.
  • Supports the implementation and administration of HR programs, initiatives, processes, and organizational projects.
  • Maintains and updates HR information in company systems, ensuring information is accurate, current, and confidential.
  • Assists with benefits administration, including annual enrollment and ongoing employee support.
  • Supports the full recruitment and hiring process, including developing and updating job descriptions and postings, coordinating interviews, conducting background checks, and preparing files and related materials.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding activities to support a positive employee experience.
  • Responds to general email, telephone, and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains organized electronic and paper files, records, and departmental documentation in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Coordinates and supports projects that may involve confidential or sensitive information.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position OR Degree in Human Resources or relevant field
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospitality
  • Experience in Food & Beverage
  • Fluency in French
