Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our organization’s technological innovation and strategic direction. The CTO will oversee the development, implementation, and management of cutting-edge technology systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards. This role demands an energetic leader with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity to drive digital transformation and maintain competitive advantage. Duties
- Develop and execute the organization’s overall technology strategy, aligning with business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure systems utilizing cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and other platforms.
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure including networks (WAN), firewalls, cybersecurity protocols, and disaster recovery plans in compliance with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, PCI, and FISMA.
- Drive innovation through AI integration, machine learning applications, natural language processing, and data management security initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams including software developers (React, Angular,.NET, JavaScript), system architects, cybersecurity specialists, and project managers using Agile methodologies.
- Ensure information security compliance programs are maintained effectively across all organizational levels.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish strategic planning processes that incorporate digital transformation initiatives and business intelligence solutions.
- Oversee project management efforts related to system design for system development (SDLC), application development, ERP systems integration, and API management.
- Manage IT budgets efficiently while negotiating vendor contracts for cloud services (AWS, Azure), hardware (firewalls), software licenses (Microsoft Office), and other technology resources.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through leadership in IT governance frameworks like ITIL and DevOps practices.
Experience
- Extensive experience in senior leadership roles within technology management or executive-level team management positions.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects involving cloud development (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems architecture.
- Deep understanding of computer networking concepts including WAN configurations, firewall security management, and network protocols.
- Demonstrated expertise in AI applications such as machine learning models and natural language processing to enhance business processes.
- Strong background in software development across multiple languages including Python, Java, C#, PHP, SQL databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), MongoDB, and related frameworks like React.js and Angular.
- Experience implementing information security compliance programs aligned with ISO 27001 standards as well as federal regulations such as FISMA and PCI standards.
- Skilled in strategic management of IT infrastructure to support digital transformation initiatives while ensuring business continuity planning is robustly maintained.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets effectively while negotiating vendor contracts to optimize technology investments.
