We are looking for a Data Operations Manager to take overall ownership of our growing Data Team.
The team is responsible for processing RFIs, performing quality checks, preparing and validating client documents, reviewing client edits, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting new client onboarding.
As the team grows, we need someone who can bring structure, consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement to the entire operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing people and processes, working with technology, and handling new situations every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operations of the Data Team.
- Plan and allocate work based on priority, workload, complexity, and team capacity.
- Ensure RFIs and other activities are completed within agreed SLAs.
- Monitor quality, identify errors and rework, and ensure consistent processes are followed.
- Manage RFI processing, quality checks, document preparation, and new client onboarding activities.
- Analyze changes made by clients to understand why answers were corrected and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify recurring issues and determine whether they require training, process changes, better data, AI improvements, or product changes.
- Create and improve SOPs, checklists, training material, and operational processes.
- Track individual and team performance using quality, productivity, SLA, and rework metrics.
- Coordinate closely with the Client, Product, and Development teams to resolve issues.
- Identify manual or repetitive activities that can be automated or improved through technology.
- Provide management with clear visibility into workload, SLA performance, quality, risks, and major operational issues.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience managing an operations, data processing, business operations, customer operations, or similar team.
- Strong people and workload management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to understand complex processes and make them simpler and more consistent.
- Good attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Comfortable working with changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to take ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution.
Technical Understanding
- You do not need to be a software developer, but you should be comfortable working with technology.
- Understanding or interest in areas such as SaaS applications, AI/LLMs, databases, APIs, Excel/Google Sheets, dashboards, and software workflows would be valuable.
- You should be comfortable discussing operational problems with developers and helping translate business problems into clear product or technical requirements.
The Kind of Person We Are Looking For
Our environment is dynamic. RFI volumes vary, clients have different requirements, new document types appear, and unexpected problems need to be solved regularly. We are therefore looking for someone who naturally asks:
- Why did this happen?
- How can we prevent it from happening again?
- Can we make this process simpler?
- Can we automate this?
- How can we improve quality and reduce rework?
We value ownership, curiosity, structured thinking, and problem solving more than simply following an existing process.
This role provides the opportunity to build and shape how a growing Data Operations team works and scales
