Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CJIS Cybersecurity & Google Cloud Architect Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of secure cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions aligned with CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) standards. Duties

  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring compliance with CJIS security standards and federal regulations such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain robust cybersecurity strategies incorporating security engineering principles, risk assessments, and vulnerability management practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Lead the deployment of network security solutions including firewalls (Cisco ASA), intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), VPNs, IPsec protocols, and SIEM tools such as Splunk or New Relic for real-time security monitoring.
  • Architect and oversee identity and access management (IAM) solutions utilizing tools like LDAP, SSO, RBAC, and PKI to enforce strict access controls aligned with ISO 27001/27002 standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments, incident response planning, disaster recovery testing, and system security plan development to ensure resilience against cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation of security tasks.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments using Nmap, Burp Suite, and other tools; investigate findings; recommend remediation strategies; and document security analysis results for compliance audits.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), load balancing, and network support.
  • Proven experience with Cisco networking equipment such as Cisco ISE for network access control; Cisco routers; Cisco ASA firewalls; Juniper devices; and related network infrastructure components.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001/27002/27000 standards for information security management systems (ISMS); FIPS encryption standards; PCI DSS; and other regulatory frameworks relevant to CJIS compliance.
  • Expertise in cloud security principles within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure PaaS/IaaS environments including virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or open-source hypervisors.
  • Proficiency in implementing endpoint security measures across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux distributions such as Debian or CentOS, macOS, Android/iOS devices.
  • Skilled in using SIEM platforms for security information analysis; vulnerability research; incident management; threat detection; and forensic investigations.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation; system administration tasks; system security hardening; openSUSE or Ubuntu server management.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks like RMF or DIACAP; system security plans development; open-source tools like Nmap or Fiddler for network scanning and testing.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively across technical teams while maintaining a focus on compliance requirements related to CJIS policies.
