About the Role
This is the customer- and stakeholder-facing half of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at a fast-growing fintech company building global identity and business verification infrastructure. As a Deployment Strategist, you'll own the end-to-end enterprise implementation experience — bridging customers with product and engineering teams to ensure clients get maximum value from day one, while feeding real-world insights back into how the product evolves.
What You'll Do
-
Partner with enterprise customers to design and execute implementations tailored to their specific needs.
-
Manage stakeholder relationships across complex, multi-priority enterprise environments from kickoff through go-live.
-
Lead detailed project planning and keep cross-functional teams aligned and on track throughout deployments.
-
Analyze customer requirements early, break them into actionable priorities, and communicate trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-
Collaborate with product, engineering, and growth teams to identify friction points and improve implementation processes.
-
Build documentation, playbooks, and tooling that make future deployments smoother and more scalable.
What We're Looking For
-
4–5+ years of experience, including 3+ years in customer-facing deployment, implementation, or solutions engineering delivering enterprise software.
-
Domain expertise in compliance (KYB/KYC/AML) or regulated onboarding is the strongest signal for this role — former Product Owners or Managers from fintech who ran onboarding or KYC workflows are a particularly strong fit.
-
Fintech, banking, or startup operating experience; pure management-consulting backgrounds without hands-on operating roles have not converted well historically.
-
Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and tools such as Jira, Asana, or Monday.com.
-
Demonstrated ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders without losing nuance.
-
Experience managing cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to resolve blockers.
-
Familiarity with SaaS or fintech products, identity platforms, or payment/financial infrastructure is a plus.
-
Exposure to API integrations, data migration, or technical onboarding processes is advantageous.
-
Comfort operating in early-stage or high-growth environments with evolving processes and roadmaps.
-
Calm, structured, systems-thinking approach — you see how customer decisions ripple through product and operations.
