About the Role
This is a founding-stage role embedded within the core team of an early-stage Berlin-based healthtech startup, working directly with the founders to ship ideas fast and eliminate manual work through AI and automation. You'll help build repeatable, measurable systems that improve member outcomes in a regulated health context — sitting at the intersection of operations, engineering, and product. The engagement is 3–6 months with the potential to convert to a full-time position.
What You'll Do
-
Work side-by-side with founders in a low-bureaucracy environment to move ideas from concept to production quickly.
-
Automate and eliminate manual ops work using AI tools, code, and well-documented processes.
-
Own customer onboarding and technical setup to move members efficiently through the funnel.
-
Run field operations including acquiring blood testing locations and managing logistics such as sample flow, shipping, and escalations.
-
Recruit, onboard, and schedule mobile field staff (e.g., nurses).
-
Manage customer support and concierge workflows, handling member requests and personalised action plans.
-
Build internal tools and automations using AI agents, workflow platforms (e.g., n8n, Retool, Zapier), and LLM APIs.
-
Track operational KPIs with SQL (cycle times, error rates, stockouts) and convert ad hoc processes into measurable systems.
-
Structure pipelines for product and sales to surface member feedback and patterns to the broader team.
What We're Looking For
-
Strong ownership mindset with a clear bias to action and a hands-on, structured approach to work.
-
Proven ability to turn manual processes into automated, repeatable, and measurable systems.
-
Experience recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling field staff and managing associated logistics.
-
Technically capable: comfortable with basic SQL, APIs, and building tools with low-code/no-code platforms.
-
AI-native working style — daily use of tools like Claude, GPT, or Cursor with an automations-first mindset.
-
Strong communication skills in both German and English.
-
Background or genuine interest in healthtech or regulated environments.
-
Evidence of side projects, prototypes, or personal technical work (e.g., GitHub activity).
-
Studying or holding a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
-
Comfortable with a founding-stage, 3–6 month commitment focused on eliminating ops rather than just managing it.
