About the Role
As Founding Engineer at an early-stage freight technology company, you will work across product and engineering to build AI-powered tools for freight operations. You will combine customer discovery with hands-on development, helping evolve early demos into reliable production products and shaping the technical direction as the company grows.
What You'll Do

Lead conversations with customers and translate their needs into product features and technical plans.

Design, build, and deploy full-stack applications, while advancing the product's AI capabilities.

Move prototypes and demos toward scalable, high-quality production systems.

Make practical architecture decisions and help shape the product and engineering direction.
What We're Looking For

At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.

Full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, plus backend development in Python.

Hands-on experience with LLM design patterns, vector stores, and model fine-tuning.

Experience taking products from MVP to production, including customer conversations and product feedback.

Startup or early-stage experience, with sound judgment about architecture and scaling trade-offs.

Experience with vector databases or semantic search is relevant.

Hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany. Candidates should be willing to work from Berlin or relocate.
