About the Role
This is a founding engineering position at a YC-backed enterprise AI startup building agents that automate complex system integrations, migrations, and implementations — the kind of critical infrastructure work that typically takes consultants months to deliver. You'll join a small, senior team and have direct influence over the architecture, culture, and engineering bar for everyone who comes after you.
What You'll Do
-
Build the agent core: the planning, execution, and self-healing loops that turn natural-language integration descriptions into production-grade data movement.
-
Own systems end to end — connectors, transformation engine, execution runtime, web app, SDK, and MCP server — picking up the highest-leverage problem each week and shipping it.
-
Work on production-critical infrastructure that operates directly on live ERP and financial systems, where reliability and failure-mode awareness genuinely matter.
-
Join customer calls when technical depth is needed, translating real-world requirements into product decisions.
-
Set the engineering patterns and standards that the next wave of engineers will build on.
What We're Looking For
-
2+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
-
Strong proficiency in TypeScript with demonstrated experience building full-stack, end-to-end applications.
-
Experience designing and implementing critical infrastructure with sound judgment on reliability and scalability.
-
Hands-on experience integrating with or implementing enterprise systems such as ERPs, CRMs, or data warehouse platforms (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, or similar).
-
Proficiency in at least one additional language beyond TypeScript — Python, Go, or C.
-
Experience working directly with customers on technical implementations or support.
-
Experience building or meaningfully contributing to open source projects.
-
Background in data migration, ETL, or system integration work is a strong plus.
-
Strong CS fundamentals from a rigorous academic background or equivalent demonstrated depth through competitive programming or impactful internships.
-
Comfortable in an early-stage environment with limited process and high ownership.
-
Clear, direct communicator — with teammates and with customers alike.
