About the Role
This is the first engineering hire at an early-stage B2B SaaS startup building AI-powered workflow automation for distributors and manufacturers. You'll work directly alongside the founders, owning problems end to end — from understanding customer workflows to designing, building, and shipping production features.
What You'll Do
-
Talk directly with customers to understand their workflows and surface the right problems to solve.
-
Build across the full stack: customer-facing features, AI agents, third-party integrations, and infrastructure.
-
Improve the evals, tests, and tooling that make each new customer implementation faster and more reliable.
-
Ship your first feature to a live customer within your first week.
-
Design and implement a customer-driven feature end to end within your first month.
-
Own a meaningful surface area of the product, end to end, within your first quarter.
What We're Looking For
-
Hands-on full-stack development experience shipping production web applications with TypeScript, Next.js, and Python.
-
Demonstrated experience building production-ready AI agents, including context engineering, tool design, and evaluation frameworks.
-
Experience deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform.
-
Experience integrating with legacy systems, APIs, and third-party software platforms (ERP/CRM experience is a plus).
-
Comfort conducting customer discovery and translating business problems into technical solutions.
-
Experience building and maintaining automated testing, evaluation frameworks, and observability tooling for production systems.
-
Prior experience in early-stage startup environments with small teams and rapid iteration cycles.
-
Familiarity with LLM frameworks, prompt engineering, or AI agent orchestration tools is a strong plus.
-
Background in B2B operations automation or enterprise software integration is a plus.
