About the Role
This is a foundational engineering role at a pre-seed AI recruiting marketplace, where you'll own the intelligence layer that powers candidate-role matching. You'll work directly alongside the founding team, shaping how recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, and LLM-driven features surface the right opportunities for both job seekers and employers.
What You'll Do

Build and own AI/ML systems including recommendation engines and ranking algorithms that drive core product outcomes.

Develop LLM-powered matching features that improve alignment between candidates and roles.

Architect and maintain production-grade data pipelines and services integrated with the full stack.

Ship end-to-end product features to production on a rapid, daily cadence.

Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product goals into reliable, scalable features.
What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping end-to-end product features in production environments.

Proven experience building LLM-powered features with LLM APIs in production.

Experience building recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or ML-powered matching systems.

Strong proficiency with TypeScript and React in production applications.

Hands-on experience with Supabase, Prisma, and database design in production systems.

Familiarity with Typesense or similar search and ranking infrastructure.

Experience with workflow automation tools such as trigger.dev in production settings.

Comfortable with Cursor as a development tool and in fast-moving, iterative startup environments.

Strong CS fundamentals; exceptional academic background, open-source contributions, or notable personal projects are a plus.

Thrives in a high-ownership, entrepreneurial environment with a bias toward building and shipping.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 USD annually
