About the Role We're a fast-growing, seed-stage European AI SaaS company building intelligent phone assistant software for small and medium-sized businesses across the DACH region and beyond. Our platform helps SMBs — from medical practices to trades companies to law firms — automate customer communication, book appointments, and handle calls around the clock. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Product Designer to own design, branding, and design team leadership. You'll work directly with the founding team and engineering to shape the product experience for thousands of European business customers — with high autonomy, fast feedback loops, and real impact from day one. This is an on-site role based in Vienna, Austria . Visa sponsorship is not available. What You'll Do Take full ownership of product design, branding, and design team direction (~50% hands-on IC work, ~50% team leadership). Design end-to-end product experiences across three product areas, in close collaboration with Product and Engineering. Conduct regular customer interviews with users such as tradespeople, physicians, and professional service providers to build deep domain understanding. Develop and evolve the brand across product, web, and marketing touchpoints. Set and maintain design standards, ensuring consistency across all product areas. Build and scale design systems that support rapid, high-quality delivery. Partner directly with founders and engineers for fast decision-making and short iteration cycles. Ship with high impact: daily releases, direct customer access, and significant creative latitude. Lead and grow the design team covering website, branding, and product design. What We're Looking For Must-haves: Native German speaker (essential for our DACH market focus), with good English for an international team. 5+ years of end-to-end product design experience with ownership across multiple product areas. Demonstrated experience leading or managing design teams, or a clear and strong intent to step into design leadership. Proficiency in Figma , prototyping, and conducting user/customer research interviews. Strong product and analytics mindset — you measure design decisions and iterate based on data. Experience building and scaling design systems across multiple product areas. Hands-on experience with branding, website design, and setting cross-functional design standards. AI-first design workflow — comfortable using modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, v0, Claude) to accelerate prototyping and design processes. Nice-to-have: Background in B2B SaaS, professional services software, or CRM-adjacent products. Experience collaborating with staff-level designers and scaling design org processes. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $80,000 – $150,000 per year (or equivalent in EUR), depending on experience.
