About the Role
This is a high-ownership engineering role on a lean team building agentic AI systems that observe, decide, and act on real-world property operations — with humans in the loop. You'll work end-to-end across the stack, modernising legacy systems and turning messy operational workflows into reliable, autonomous software that powers the short-term rental industry across Europe.
What You'll Do
-
Own features end-to-end, from requirement gathering through to production-ready software.
-
Design and build agentic AI workflows for guest communication (chat and voice), operational decisions, and property tasks.
-
Modernise legacy systems and redesign data structures to meet evolving product requirements.
-
Shadow real operational workflows to uncover inefficiencies, workarounds, and hidden steps.
-
Translate messy processes into clean, scalable software — scoping, shipping, and iterating rather than working through tickets.
-
Collaborate closely with internal teams to align product and engineering direction.
-
Operate with high agency: plan your own work, communicate progress, and flag blockers proactively.
What We're Looking For
-
Demonstrable full-stack engineering experience with a portfolio or track record you can walk through.
-
Strong TypeScript skills — this is a hard requirement.
-
Familiarity with React, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS; comfortable using Linear and Notion for tracking and documentation.
-
Experience working in an agentic engineering style (e.g. running multiple AI coding agents and terminals in parallel).
-
Strong product taste — attention to UX detail down to message wording and interaction design.
-
Proven ability to ship quickly while exercising sound judgement about what can safely break.
-
Fluent English and strong written communication skills.
-
Startup mindset: thrives in small, outcome-focused teams rather than process-heavy environments.
-
Willingness to relocate to Germany and work from the Leipzig office regularly.
-
Bonus: founder mentality or prior experience founding a startup.
