About the Role
This is a high-ownership engineering role on a lean team building agentic AI systems that observe, decide, and act on real-world property operations — with humans in the loop. You'll own features end-to-end, modernize legacy systems, and turn messy operational workflows into reliable, production-ready software that meaningfully moves the business forward.
What You'll Do
-
Design and build agentic AI workflows covering guest communication (chat and voice), operational decisions, and property task management.
-
Own features from requirement gathering through to shipping — no ticket-pushing; you drive solutions independently.
-
Shadow real operational workflows to uncover inefficiencies, workarounds, and hidden steps, then translate them into clean software.
-
Modernize legacy systems and redesign data structures to meet evolving product requirements.
-
Scope, ship, and iterate on problems with a strong sense of what can safely break and what cannot.
-
Collaborate with internal teams to keep product and engineering tightly aligned.
What We're Looking For
-
Demonstrable full-stack engineering experience you can walk through during the hiring process.
-
Strong command of TypeScript (required), along with practical experience with React, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.
-
Comfortable working in an agentic engineering style — running multiple AI coding agents and terminals in parallel to move fast.
-
Strong product taste: you care about user experience down to the wording of a message or the shape of an interaction.
-
Ability to self-manage: plan your own work, communicate progress, and flag blockers proactively without heavy oversight.
-
Fluent English with clear written and verbal communication skills.
-
Track record of shipping quickly while exercising sound judgment about stability vs. speed.
-
Thrives in small, accountable teams focused on outcomes over process.
-
Willingness to relocate to Germany and work from the office regularly.
-
Bonus: founder mentality or prior experience founding a startup.
