About the Role A fast-growing, Series A PropTech company building an AI-native operating system for short-term and holiday rental management across Europe is looking for a Product Engineer to join a lean, high-impact team. You'll design and ship agentic AI systems that observe, decide, and act on real-world property operations — with humans in the loop. This is a full-stack, ownership-heavy role at the intersection of product thinking and engineering execution. You won't be handling tickets — you'll be driving outcomes end-to-end, modernizing legacy systems, and turning messy operational workflows into reliable, autonomous software. What You'll Do Own features end-to-end, learning the business deeply enough to drive solutions independently. Design and build agentic AI workflows for guest communication (chat and voice), operational decisions, and property management tasks. Modernize legacy systems and redesign data structures to meet evolving product requirements. Shadow real operational workflows to uncover inefficiencies, workarounds, and hidden steps. Translate messy processes into clean, production-ready software. Scope, ship, and iterate on problems rather than just executing predefined specs. Collaborate with internal teams to align product and engineering direction. Operate with high agency and ownership to deliver results rapidly and safely. What We're Looking For Required: Demonstrable engineering experience you can walk through during the hiring process. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React for full-stack development. Familiarity with Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS . Comfortable working in an agentic engineering style — running multiple agents, parallel terminals, and AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex). Strong product taste: attention to user experience down to interaction wording and messaging. Ability to self-manage: plan work, communicate progress, and proactively flag blockers. Track record of shipping quickly with sound judgment about acceptable risk. Fluent spoken and written English. Experience with Linear and Notion (or equivalent) for work tracking and documentation. Willingness to relocate to Berlin, Germany and work from the office regularly. Nice to Have: Experience building agentic AI or AI agent systems. Prior startup experience or a founder mentality. Background in hospitality, PropTech, or short-term rental domains. Strong product-minded approach with a track record of influencing product direction. Please note: No visa sponsorship is available. Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany without sponsorship. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 USD annually Lean, accountable team focused on outcomes over process High ownership and direct impact on a core product Work at the cutting edge of applied AI in a real-world operational domain Location This role is on-site in Berlin, Germany . Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to Berlin. The team also has presence in other German cities and Vienna, Austria.
