What You'll Do

Design, implement, and maintain a consumer-facing Android application used in production.
-
Contribute to platform-level architecture and help scale core infrastructure.

Solve problems pragmatically, balancing speed and quality in a fast-moving environment.
-
Contribute to product design and direction decisions alongside cross-functional teams.
-
Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
-
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the Android team.
What We're Looking For

2+ years of professional experience building and shipping production Android apps.
-
Strong Kotlin expertise with demonstrated use of Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns (MVVM or Clean Architecture).

Experience building consumer-facing mobile applications (not solely B2B).
-
Proficiency with Android testing strategies — unit, instrumentation, and UI tests.
-
Experience integrating Firebase services including Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
-
Familiarity with backend data formats and APIs used in mobile apps: protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
-
Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.
-
Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.
-
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
-
Background in fintech, personal finance, or consumer mobile apps is a plus.
