About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering an AI platform in the manufacturing and industrial tech space. You'll take end-to-end ownership of Azure infrastructure, automation, and reliability, working closely with software and ML engineers to support fast-moving product development.
What You'll Do
-
Design and operate secure, scalable, and highly available Azure infrastructure spanning compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
-
Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep, with a focus on automation and repeatable deployments.
-
Deploy and operate Docker and Kubernetes/AKS environments, including scaling, networking, upgrades, and production troubleshooting.
-
Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to enable reliable software delivery.
-
Establish strong cloud security, observability, and reliability practices covering IAM, secrets management, monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery.
-
Partner with engineering and ML teams to support AI/ML workloads, optimise cloud performance and cost, and prepare infrastructure for future scale.
-
Own infrastructure initiatives end-to-end and contribute to architecture decisions and incident response.
What We're Looking For
-
4–6 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or a related field.
-
Strong production experience with Microsoft Azure — architecture, deployment, networking, identity, security, and operations.
-
Hands-on experience with Terraform or Bicep and a solid Infrastructure as Code mindset.
-
Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
-
Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, observability, and automation, with solid Linux and scripting skills.
-
Experience designing production systems with a focus on availability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
-
Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as Helm, Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.
-
Exposure to AI/ML or GPU-based workloads, or experience in manufacturing, industrial IoT, or robotics environments is a bonus.
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a strong sense of ownership.
