About the Role
This is a foundational engineering role on the team that builds the technical base — Flutter mobile app, agentic and AI infrastructure, developer experience, and Go services — that 25+ engineers rely on to ship to millions of students. You'll work across platform and product, multiplying the impact of everyone building on top of you.
What You'll Do
-
Own core parts of the Flutter app: shared components, design system, state management, performance, and tooling.
-
Build and maintain agentic and AI infrastructure — MCP servers, a background agent platform, evals, and feedback loops.
-
Help integrate agentic coding tools into day-to-day engineering workflows across the team.
-
Improve developer experience through CI/CD, release tooling, and tightening the loop between writing code and seeing it live.
-
Ship user-facing product features alongside platform work.
-
Keep the foundation reliable so a growing engineering team can build on it with confidence.
What We're Looking For
-
2–4 years of production experience building mobile (Flutter/Dart) or web applications — hands-on Flutter/Dart experience is essential.
-
Daily, fluent use of agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, or similar), with a genuine perspective on where they excel and where they fall short.
-
An eye for design — you notice inconsistent spacing, an animation that feels off, or a component that's close but not quite right.
-
Clear written communication in English and a bias toward improving systems that slow other people down.
-
Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field from a well-regarded university.
