About the Role A fast-growing, Series A/B AI-powered platform for hardware engineering — spanning CAD, CAE, and PLM workflows — is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background . This is a rare role for someone who has lived the day-to-day realities of mechanical engineering and now wants to channel that credibility into compelling content, sales enablement, and product positioning that resonates with technical buyers. You'll sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market, translating complex technical wins into persuasive narratives that help mechanical engineers evaluate, adopt, and extract full value from the platform. Formal product marketing experience is a plus — but engineering credibility and sharp communication skills are what matter most here. Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. What You'll Do Lead the creation of case studies and technical proof points that demonstrate platform value to mechanical engineering audiences. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate complex technical wins into persuasive, buyer-facing narratives. Own customer onboarding materials and proactively surface technical friction points during early adoption. Create sales enablement assets — POC guides, Champion Kits, master decks — designed to convert technically skeptical prospects. Maintain and evolve post-sales knowledge resources including step-by-step product guides and a structured knowledge base. Draft 2–3 deep-dive technical blog posts per quarter and contribute to newsletter copy in partnership with the Growth team. Act as the internal lead for website messaging and evolve product positioning over time. Support webinars and demand-generation efforts with engineering-first content that builds credibility with technical audiences. What We're Looking For Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required). At least 2+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanical engineer , with direct familiarity with ME workflows and pain points. Demonstrated ability to translate complex mechanical engineering problems into clear, compelling value for both engineering and executive audiences. Experience producing technical content for engineering audiences — case studies, onboarding guides, proofs of concept, champion kits, or similar enablement assets. Ability to structure and document technical content with measurable, outcome-driven impact. Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering to develop credible enablement and proof assets. Experience enabling customers through technical guides and knowledge base content. A proof-obsessed, "show don't tell" mindset with ownership over final content performance. Portfolio or examples of technical writing, documentation, presentations, or other materials that demonstrate your ability to communicate engineering concepts and their business impact. Nice to Have Formal product marketing experience or background in B2B technical marketing. MBA or demonstrated business acumen linking technical depth to bottom-line value. Experience creating content for website evolution, webinars, and demand-generation campaigns. About the Company This company builds an AI agent platform purpose-built for hardware engineers, integrating with widely-used engineering tools (including CAD, simulation, and PLM environments) to automate complex workflows and accelerate product development. Trusted by a growing community of hardware engineers, the platform helps teams — from seasoned veterans to newer engineers — spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on high-impact design decisions. The company is backed by well-regarded institutional investors and is at an exciting stage of growth. Location & Work Arrangement This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA . Visa sponsorship is not available.
