Job Summary
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll strengthen cloud and network environments by designing security controls, assessing risk, and responding to threats. You’ll partner with IT and engineering teams to protect systems, data, and services across cloud infrastructure and on-premises environments. Your impact: By identifying vulnerabilities and improving security controls, you help teams deliver reliable services while protecting users and organizational data.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security architecture, identity and access management, authentication, encryption, and network security controls.
- Assess vulnerabilities and security risks; investigate findings and recommend practical remediation.
- Monitor security events using security information and event management (SIEM) tools; support threat detection, incident response, recovery, and log analysis.
- Review cloud infrastructure, operating systems, APIs, software deployment, and CI/CD processes for security risks.
- Maintain security documentation and support compliance assessments, system hardening, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Essential: Experience in cloud security engineering, information security, security engineering, vulnerability management, security assessment, incident response, and IT security monitoring.
- Essential: Knowledge of cloud computing, cloud architecture, IT infrastructure, computer networking, network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, IDS, load balancing, and high availability.
- Essential: Familiarity with identity and access management, RBAC, SSO, LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, encryption, Linux or Windows, scripting, and cybersecurity tools such as Terraform, Nmap, and Splunk.
- Preferred: Exposure to Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, VMware, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, EDR, and network monitoring tools such as PRTG or New Relic.
- Preferred: Knowledge of ISO 27000/27001/27002, NIST standards, PCI, FedRAMP, FISMA, FIPS, COBIT, ITIL, and risk management frameworks.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
