About the role
Join Group Finance as an ARR Analyst on a 6 month fixed-term contract, reporting to the Head of FP&A. You will analyse annual recurring revenue (ARR), using our automated reporting process and work with the business to validate our understanding and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
ARR analysis and reporting
- Own the Group’s ARR reporting cube analysis (Databricks architecture, with already established dashboard reporting).
- You will bring rigour & discipline to reviewing this output and working with the business to validate. You will have a critical eye on trends and consistency of output
- Produce monthly and quarterly ARR reports
- Use ARR reporting and trends to help support FP&A in the forecasting of ARR
- Use SQL and data analysis skills to explore billing and revenue datasets
- Work with finance to highlight inconsistencies in billing processes that impact ARR
Data quality and systems
- Check the quality of monthly ARR outputs and bridges
- Own ARR-to-revenue reconciliation each month
- Review financial and commercial datasets. Identify mismatches, investigate discrepancies and work with the relevant teams to resolve them.
- Clean and integrate ARR data from acquisitions.
- Act as a Dashboard superuser and help teams follow best practice.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and find ways to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Explain revenue movements and findings clearly to stakeholders. Answer questions about the analysis and help colleagues make informed decisions.
You are not expected to lead large or board-level presentations. FP&A handles these.
Skills and experience
- Experience in recurring revenue or SaaS analysis, financial modelling, forecasting and reconciliation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to data quality. You can reconcile and interpret financial and commercial data, spot inconsistencies and investigate discrepancies.
- Intermediate SQL and Power BI skills are required.
- Basic knowledge of data warehouses and data pipelines.
- Comfortable working in Databricks. Previous Databricks experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Clear communication with stakeholders, including senior colleagues. You can explain findings, take ownership of reporting and work across teams.
- Familiarity with subscription billing, CRM and finance systems, such as Chargebee, NetSuite or similar platforms, will help you succeed in the role.
