About Codesphere

Codesphere is a Virtual Cloud Provider from Germany building the future of sovereign cloud infrastructure. Our platform gives enterprises and governments full sovereignty without giving up modern cloud capability – a vision recently validated by a series of multi-million European government tenders.

Since our founding in Karlsruhe in 2020, we’ve expanded into an international team of 60+ experts. Based in Karlsruhe and Munich and backed by top-tier investors, we are chasing a bold vision.

We’re scaling fast and would love for you to join us and grow alongside us 🚀

What you'll do

  • Contribute to real features across our platform - from understanding the problem through implementation and testing - with guidance from the team.

  • Take part in code reviews and technical design discussions, learning how we keep quality high.

  • Work alongside experienced engineers on our collaborative developer cloud, across areas like Public API, IAM & Permissions, Secrets Management, CI integrations, Web IDE, deployment technology, monitoring, and managed services.

  • Grow your skills through hands-on work, pairing, and regular feedback.

What makes you a great fit

  • Passionate about technology and solid Computer Science fundamentals.

  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related degree program.

  • Some hands-on experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, or open source - ideally touching web or distributed systems.

  • Working knowledge of TypeScript and/or Go.

  • Basic understanding of SQL databases and an interest in APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

  • Professional proficiency in English.

  • Strong communication skills, openness to feedback, and a structured approach to problem-solving.

What sets you apart

  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure, ideally cloud-native.

  • Familiarity with React and/or Kubernetes.

What's in it for you

  • Steep learning curve – fast-moving environment, real ownership, and a front-row seat to scaling a company

  • Study-first flexibility – easily adjust your working hours around lectures and exam periods, combined with our hybrid work setup

  • Long-term perspective – we focus on lasting relationships and aim to bring you on board permanently after graduation

  • Gym access – stay active on site (Karlsruhe office only)

  • Employee events – from team offsites to regular get-togethers

  • Great public transport links – both offices are within walking distance of tram and metro stops
