Koolatron is seeking an experienced **Project Manager – Residential Laundry Products** to lead the development and commercialization of residential washing machines, dryers, laundry centers, and related laundry appliances for the North American market. The successful candidate will manage projects from concept through design, validation, certification, manufacturing launch, and ongoing product improvement while coordinating internal teams, suppliers, engineering partners, and contract manufacturers. This role aligns with the company's laundry platform development initiatives and North American compliance requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Project Leadership**
* Lead end\-to\-end development of residential laundry products, including washers, dryers, washer\-dryer combinations, and laundry centers. * Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, and launch schedules. * Coordinate cross\-functional teams including engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, compliance, and marketing. * Drive project reviews and executive reporting on progress, risks, costs, and timelines.
**Product Development**
* Translate customer and market requirements into product specifications. * Manage product architecture, feature definition, cost targets, and competitive benchmarking. * Oversee prototype builds, product testing, validation, and design refinements. * Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), reliability, serviceability, and cost objectives are achieved. These responsibilities reflect development practices identified for laundry appliance programs.
**Supplier \& Manufacturing Coordination**
* Work closely with OEM/ODM partners, component suppliers, tooling vendors, and contract manufacturers. * Coordinate pilot builds, production trials, and launch readiness activities. * Resolve technical, quality, and supply chain issues impacting project schedules.
**Compliance \& Certification**
* Coordinate product certification activities for North American markets, including safety and energy\-efficiency requirements. * Work with external laboratories and certification agencies to ensure timely approvals. * Maintain required technical documentation and regulatory records. **Cost \& Quality Management**
* Manage product cost targets and value\-engineering initiatives. * Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product issues. * Monitor product quality, reliability, and customer feedback after launch.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * 10\+ years of product development and project management experience in major appliances or consumer durables. * Experience managing washer, dryer, laundry center, dishwasher, refrigeration, or other white goods development projects. * Proven success launching products from concept through commercialization. * Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, motors, controls, plastics, sheet metal, and consumer appliance manufacturing. * Experience working with international suppliers and OEM/ODM partners. * PMP certification considered an asset.
**Preferred Experience**
* Direct experience with residential washers, dryers, laundry centers, or heat\-pump drying technology. * Knowledge of North American appliance standards, certification, and energy regulations. * Experience working with overseas engineering teams and manufacturing partners in Asia.
