About Prime Builders in London
Prime Builders is a London-based construction company providing high-quality building, renovation and property improvement services. We are looking for an organised, confident and experienced individual to help manage the day-to-day operational side of our construction projects.
This is NOT a manual construction/labouring position.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact between our customers, tradespeople and management. You will help take projects from the initial customer enquiry through quotation, planning, delivery and completion.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to new customer enquiries by phone, email and messaging platforms
- Speaking with customers to understand their requirements
- Arranging and attending site visits across London
- Assessing proposed construction and renovation work
- Taking measurements and gathering the information required to price jobs
- Preparing professional quotations and estimates
- Calculating expected labour and material costs
- Following up quotations with potential customers
- Discussing pricing, project requirements and timescales with customers
- Scheduling and coordinating construction projects
- Communicating job requirements to tradespeople and subcontractors
- Helping organise materials and deliveries where required
- Monitoring the progress of ongoing projects
- Keeping customers updated throughout their project
- Handling customer questions, concerns and changes to the work
- Maintaining project records, quotations and customer information
- Helping ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the expected standard
- Supporting the overall day-to-day operation and growth of Prime Builders
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced or knowledgeable in construction, building, renovations or property maintenance
- Able to understand the work required when visiting a property
- Confident preparing construction quotations and estimates
- Comfortable calculating labour and material requirements
- Professional and confident when dealing with customers
- Highly organised and able to manage several projects/enquiries at once
- Able to communicate effectively with tradespeople and customers
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Confident using a phone, email and basic computer software
- Commercially minded and able to help turn enquiries into confirmed projects
- Able to identify potential problems and find practical solutions
Previous experience as a Construction Estimator, Project Coordinator, Contracts Coordinator, Site Manager, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor or similar construction role would be highly beneficial.
A driving licence and ability to travel to sites around London would be preferred.
