We are looking for an experienced Social Media Executive with a proven track record of managing and growing social media accounts related to politics, journalism, public figures, government, civic issues or public communications.
The ideal candidate should understand political and public facing social media, be highly active on social platforms, and be capable of independently handling day to day social media operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage social media accounts across Instagram, X (Twitter) and YouTube.
- Plan and execute daily content
- Write high quality Marathi captions, posts, Reel scripts and social media copy
- Editing Reels and Designing Post's
- Monitor political, civic and local news, particularly in Maharashtra
- Identify trending topics and create timely content around them
- Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors
- Maintain content calendars and posting schedules
- Track social media performance and prepare reports
- Research political pages, news accounts, competitors and emerging trends
- Develop content strategies to increase reach, engagement and followers
Mandatory Requirements
- Excellent Marathi — ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY
- Excellent Marathi writing, grammar and vocabulary
- Proven experience managing real social media accounts
- Demonstrable experience with political, journalism/news, public figure, government, civic or similar accounts
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and YouTube
- Good understanding of Maharashtra's political, social and current affairs landscape
- Strong content research, copywriting and storytelling skills
- Ability to work quickly with breaking news, trending topics and time-sensitive content
- Experience creating and managing Reels, posts, stories, carousels and short-form video content
- Ability to develop content ideas independently based on current trends and audience behaviour
- Experience using social media management, analytics and scheduling tools
- Hands on experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Adobe After Effects, Lightroom, Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager and YouTube Studio
- Understanding of social media analytics, engagement, reach, impressions and audience growth
- Ability to coordinate with graphic designers, video editors, photographers and content teams
- Strong portfolio of previous work is mandatory: candidates must be able to demonstrate accounts, campaigns or content they have previously worked on.

This is not an entry-level social media training position.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate their previous work through:
- Social media accounts/pages they have managed
- Political or journalism-related accounts they have worked on
- Marathi content they have created
- Reels/scripts/posts they have written
- Campaigns they have handled
- Previous growth or engagement results
Candidates without a portfolio or verifiable examples of previous social media work may not be considered.

Experience working with any of the following will be an advantage:
- Political leaders / politicians
- Political parties or election campaigns
- Journalists / news organizations
- Government or municipal organizations
- Public figures
- Marathi news/media pages
- Civic or public-awareness campaigns
