THE ROLE | The role of the Underwriter - Motor is to assist with the management of the risk exposure of the company from its core business, ensuring that it yields a profit while achieving the targeted gross income and market share, managing relationships with third party producers, and achieving customer excellence. THE PERSON | To be the ideal candidate, you must have: Three (3) - Five (5) years’ experience working in the Insurance industry, with a minimum 2 years underwriting experience Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE ‘O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematics & English Language Minimum of three (3) CAPE or A Level passes. Completed Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate Level OR equivalent qualification (will be an asset) Completed or pursuing BSc. or higher qualification in Insurance & Risk Management, Business Management, or any other related course of study (will be an asset) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs - Word & Excel Any equivalent combination of education & experience.
