PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE
This position will lead our food and beverage operations, including banqueting, with a focus on exceptional member and guest service, team development and financial control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily operations and provide hands-on Duty Manager leadership.
- Recruit, lead, roster, train and develop the food and beverage team, and manage performance and disciplinary matters.
- Build member relationships, maintain service standards and resolve complaints, using member engagement and feedback to improve service quality.
- Coordinate events, promotions, menus and beverage offerings with the Head Chef and Function Co-ordinators.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, pricing, costs and stock controls to improve profitability.
- Oversee stocktakes, invoice approvals, payroll checks, point-of-sale and tip reconciliation, and reservations.
- Maintain cleanliness, facilities and equipment, and ensure health and safety compliance.
- Develop supplier partnerships and prepare monthly operating reports.

- Practical experience with departmental budgets, stocktakes, point-of-sale reconciliation, payroll checks and reservation systems.
MINIMUM / PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing food and beverage operations, including banqueting or events, supervising service teams and maintaining member or guest service standards
QUALIFICATION
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Management (preferred)
