Digitally Disruptive is a fast-moving digital agency helping businesses grow through high-performing websites, creative design and digital advertising.
We’re looking for a talented Website Developer & Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a varied role for someone who combines strong technical website development skills with a good eye for design and an understanding of how websites and paid advertising work together to generate real business results.
You’ll be involved in building and improving websites, creating landing pages, working with clients and supporting the delivery of paid advertising campaigns across Google, LinkedIn and Meta.
The Role
We’re looking for someone who can confidently take a website from an idea or design through to a finished, responsive and commercially effective website.
You’ll work across WordPress and Shopify, using your knowledge of HTML, CSS and website development to create websites that look great, perform well and deliver an excellent user experience.
Alongside development, you’ll also be involved in creating and managing paid advertising campaigns, helping our clients generate leads, sales and measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Design
- Build, develop and maintain websites using WordPress and Shopify
- Create responsive websites that work across desktop, tablet and mobile
- Use HTML and CSS confidently to customise and develop websites
- Work with themes, plugins, page builders and Shopify functionality
- Translate designs and creative concepts into polished, functional websites
- Create high-converting landing pages and campaign-specific pages
- Make ongoing website improvements based on performance, analytics and client requirements
- Troubleshoot website issues and resolve technical problems
- Have a strong understanding of UX/UI and what makes a website visually appealing and easy to use
- Consider website speed, SEO, accessibility and conversion optimisation when building websites
Paid Advertising
- Create, launch and manage paid advertising campaigns across:
- Google Ads
- Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
- LinkedIn Ads
- Develop ad concepts, copy and creative in collaboration with the wider team
- Build campaigns around lead generation, e-commerce sales, awareness and conversion
- Set up and optimise landing pages for paid campaigns
- Monitor campaign performance and make data-led improvements
- Understand key metrics such as CPC, CTR, CPA, ROAS and conversion rates
- Work with tracking, pixels, analytics and conversion events to ensure campaigns can be properly measured
Creative & Client Work
- Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and translate them into digital solutions
- Contribute ideas around website design, user journeys, content and digital campaigns
- Work alongside designers, marketers and other members of the Digital Disruptive team
- Present ideas and solutions confidently to clients
- Keep up to date with new website technologies, design trends, advertising platforms and digital marketing best practices
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, commercially minded and technically capable, with a genuine interest in both website development and digital marketing.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience building websites using WordPress
- Experience working with Shopify
- Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- A good understanding of responsive web design
- Strong design and visual judgement
- An understanding of UX/UI and conversion-focused website design
- Experience creating landing pages
- Experience with Google Ads
- Experience with Meta Ads
- Experience with LinkedIn Ads
- An understanding of digital analytics and conversion tracking
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with clients
Desirable Skills
It would be a bonus if you also have experience with:
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Liquid / Shopify theme development
- SEO
- Google Analytics / GA4
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Search Console
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API
- Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Figma or other design/prototyping tools
- Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design software
- Email marketing and automation
- E-commerce optimisation
The Person
We’re not necessarily looking for someone who ticks every single box.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative and technically confident, who enjoys figuring things out and wants to build digital work that actually makes a difference to our clients.
You should be comfortable switching between creative and technical tasks - one day working on the design and HTML of a new website, the next optimising a Google Ads campaign or building a landing page for a Meta campaign.
Most importantly, you should care about the end result. We want someone who thinks beyond simply building a website or launching an advert and asks: Does this work? Does it look good? Does it convert? Can we make it better?
