Join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineer and strengthen the systems, networks, and cloud environments people rely on. You’ll assess risk, improve security controls, and help teams respond quickly to threats across IT infrastructure. Your impact: By detecting and addressing security weaknesses, you help protect users and keep essential services available.
Duties
- Monitor security events using security information and event management (SIEM) tools; analyze logs, investigate alerts, and coordinate incident response and recovery.
- Assess vulnerabilities and security risks, recommend mitigations, and support system hardening, security assessments, and threat detection.
- Design and maintain network and cloud security controls, including firewalls, virtual private networks (VPNs), identity and access management, encryption, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
- Support security compliance and documentation aligned with applicable NIST standards, ISO 27000/27001/27002, PCI, and other relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate across engineering and IT teams to integrate security into architecture, system administration, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Skills
- Essential: Experience in cybersecurity, information security, security engineering, vulnerability management, incident response, or security analysis; knowledge of computer networking, network protocols, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Essential: Familiarity with security monitoring, firewalls, authentication, access controls, encryption, and risk assessment.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk; Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, IDS, Nmap, Burp Suite, or EDR tools.
- Preferred: Exposure to LAN/WAN, routing protocols, IPsec, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Linux or Windows, cloud security engineering, and platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Helpful: Knowledge of PKI, Terraform, Python or PowerShell scripting, VMware, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP or FISMA.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
