Many universities and enterprises still run identity provisioning through PeopleSoft roles, flags and personas. You will be the person who maps exactly how that wiring works, and designs a safe path to move provisioning to Workday and Microsoft Entra ID without breaking access for anyone.
As an Identity Integration Engineer focused on PeopleSoft Security and Microsoft Entra ID, you’ll design, implement, and support secure identity integrations across enterprise systems. You’ll connect applications and services, translate business needs into technical solutions, and help teams manage access reliably. Your work will strengthen security while enabling employees and business partners to use the systems they need.
Duties
- Design and maintain identity integrations between PeopleSoft, Microsoft Entra ID, and enterprise applications using application programming interfaces (APIs), web services, and service-oriented architecture.
- Analyze requirements and develop solution architectures, system designs, and implementation plans for identity and access workflows.
- Build and support data exchanges, including extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, SQL queries, and integrations with database systems.
- Troubleshoot integration, access, and system issues; coordinate resolution with security, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
- Your impact: Reliable identity integrations help employees access essential applications securely and help IT teams manage access consistently.
- Inventory PeopleSoft security: user profiles, roles, permission lists, row-level security, identity flags and personas in Campus Solutions and/or HCM.
- Trace PeopleSoft identity dependencies through Integration Broker, App Engine/batch processes, feeds, scripts and downstream applications.
- Define the identity attributes, authoritative sources and owners required to move provisioning to Workday and Entra.
- Configure and assess Entra ID: groups, app roles, enterprise applications, SCIM provisioning, Conditional Access, Entra ID Governance features.
- Automate identity analysis with SQL, PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Build tested migration, rollback and decommissioning plans.
Skills
- Essential: Experience with systems integration, software implementation, scripting, SQL, configuration management, version control, and technical troubleshooting support.
- Essential: Knowledge of information security, cloud security, system administration, IT infrastructure, operating systems, computer networking, and systems engineering.
- Essential: Strong business analysis, requirements analysis, cross-functional communication, and solution architecture skills.
- Preferred: Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Microsoft Entra ID, Salesforce, Pegasystems, AWS, Azure, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL, REST, SOAP, XML, Java, JavaScript, Python, C#,.NET, Linux, Windows, VMware, Kubernetes, DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), vulnerability management, and system hardening.
- Preferred: Exposure to enterprise solutions implementation, application development, microservices, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Git, Jenkins, and SDLC (software development life cycle).
- Higher-education experience (registrar, student and faculty lifecycle).
- Workday integration exposure; IGA platform experience (SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta IG).
- Microsoft SC-300 / AZ-104; Oracle PeopleSoft certifications.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $121,000.00 per year
