**Position Summary**

We are looking for a detail\-oriented and motivated IT Engineer who will be responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing support of network and systems infrastructure across corporate offices and CNC machining operations serving the aviation and aerospace industry. This role sits at the intersection of IT and operations, ensuring that CNC machines, shop floor systems, and business applications remain connected, stable, and performant. The ideal candidate brings deep networking expertise paired with practical, hands\-on experience in a precision machining environment.

**Here’s What You’ll Deliver:**

*Network Infrastructure*

* Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, VPNs, and enterprise wireless across office and shop floor locations * Manage industrial Ethernet, VLANs, QoS, and network segmentation between business systems and machine networks * Support DNC/network connectivity for CNC machine tools, including legacy serial\-to\-Ethernet conversions and older controls still in service * Perform capacity planning, bandwidth analysis, and infrastructure upgrades to support facility growth * Maintain structured cabling standards, and network documentation * Evaluate and recommend network hardware, vendors, and service providers

*Manufacturing Systems Support*

* Support MES, ERP, and shop floor data collection systems critical to daily production * Maintain and troubleshoot CNC program transfer, DNC servers, and machine tool network connectivity across mills, lathes, and multi\-axis centers * Support shop floor hardware including barcode scanners, label printers, thin clients, and job tracking terminals

*Operations \& Support*

* Monitor network and system health; respond to alerts and resolve issues before they impact machine uptime * Serve as escalation point for Tier 2/3 incidents and lead root cause analysis on recurring problems * Maintain servers, virtualization hosts, backups, and recovery for production\-critical systems * Participate in on\-call rotation and support scheduled maintenance windows, including nights and weekends * Track and report on uptime, incident volume, and mean time to resolution

*Collaboration \& Documentation*

* Work closely with machining, manufacturing engineering, programming, maintenance, and quality teams * Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, configuration baselines, and standard operating procedures * Provide training and guidance to junior IT staff and end users * Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to IT project planning

**Qualification :**

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience * 6\+ years of hands\-on networking experience in an enterprise environment * 6\+ years supporting manufacturing and production operations, preferably machining or aerospace * Strong command of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, and network troubleshooting methodology * Experience supporting CNC machine tool connectivity, DNC file transfer, and shop floor systems * Working knowledge of industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and MTConnect * Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper\-V) * Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues under time pressure in a live production setting * Willingness to work on the shop floor and respond to off\-hours production events

**Preferred Qualifications**

* CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network\+ certification * Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
