About CyPro

We are an innovative cyber security start-up united in a shared mission: to redefine cyber security for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Together, CyPro is already setting new standards, defining innovative solutions and equipping its clients with the cyber security they need to prevent attacks, secure bigger clients, and scale to new heights of success. There are some elements of your role which are expected from all members of staff, irrespective of their grade or seniority.

  • Problem-Solving: ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of security issues effectively, both tactically and strategically.
  • Adaptability: ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Driven, Self-Starters: we are not a large FTSE organisation with a procedure for everything. You will need to be willing to put in the extra effort and operate in an environment often with little guardrails.

The Role

You will be in a dynamic, client-facing team, where you will deliver the security needs of a number of high-growth clients through our consultancy and managed services offerings. You’ll work alongside a skilled team provided by CyPro, including a CISO, SOC Manager, Security Architects, Penetration Testers, and Cloud Security Specialists.

Client Side Delivery

  • At least 2 - 4 years working within cyber security.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality security projects, and coordinate with stakeholders, including client senior management and technical teams.
  • Deliver high quality work using Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Preparing and delivering monthly executive and operational governance meetings.
  • Identifying and recording cyber risks, defining appropriate remedial actions.
  • Leading operational delivery for client certification audits, e.g. ISO 27001, CE+ and SOC2.
  • Raising cyber security awareness through our entertaining bulletin, blogs, phishing simulations and tabletop exercises.
  • Co-ordinating penetration tests to improve client security.
  • Leading the response to third-party due diligence questionnaires and assessing new vendors.
  • A Senior Consultant would be expected to have at least 1-2 professional accreditations such as CompTIA+, ISO27001 Lead Auditor or CC (Certified in Cyber Security) or CISSP or CISM.

Practice Development

  • Regularly support the improvement of our internal operations under direction from a Manager or above.
  • Designing and implementing new business processes.
  • Successfully implementing automation and AI to speed up client delivery (securely and controlled).
  • Maintaining a bank of client deliverable templates and assets.

People Management

  • Starting to act as a role model of professionalism for junior members of the team.
  • Help direct reports with task management.
  • Helping analysts (and other team members where appropriate) onboard and embed within the team.

Business Development

  • Support drafting of proposals and bids to a high standard.
  • Contributing to discovery call minutes and proposals.
  • Contribute to our thought leadership by regularly writing engaging cyber security blogs.

Soft Skills

These ‘soft skills’ are critical when fulfilling a Senior Consultant role. For example;

  • Effective – a Consultant is able to “make stuff happen”. They constantly find ways round obstacles, gain traction and get things done.
  • Accountable & Humble – much like a professional athlete, you recognise that you hold the responsibility for your performance at work. The ego is left at the door.
  • Polished Delivery – a Senior Consultant will capable of consistently producing highly polished client deliverables, relatively autonomously.

Interview Process

No long drawn out recruitment processes - we generally can get candidates through our process (from START to FINISH) within 10 days via a 2 stage process:

  • Telephone Interview - a 20 minute initial chat with a Cyber Security Manager.
  • Assessment Centre - a morning in our Canary Wharf office where we do some fun exercises together and hold the final interview with a practice partner.

Pay: £52,000.00-£64,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Bereavement leave
  • Casual dress
  • Childcare
  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Private medical insurance
  • Sick pay

Application question(s):

  • Are you able to easily attend the office every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday?
  • Are you a graduate from a UK/EU/US University with a technical academic background in computer science, software engineering, information security, or a related field?
