About the role

Dark To Light Inc. is a Montreal web design and digital marketing agency. We build high-converting business websites and e-commerce stores in Next.js.

We’re hiring a part-time developer who has already shipped real sites — not only tutorials. You should have 2+ years building with Next.js, using GitHub Copilot (or similar) in Visual Studio Code, connecting APIs, and at least one Stripe e-commerce project you can show.

You’ll work on client marketing sites, contact flows, CRM connections, Supabase, and Stripe product/checkout. You’ll start in the office so we can lock process and quality. Once the workflow is reliable, the role can move remote.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain Next.js + React + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS sites
• Implement contact forms that email the visitor and the site owner (Resend or similar)
• Integrate third-party APIs and services (HighLevel CRM and others)
• Use Supabase for auth, data, and backend pieces
• Build e-commerce in code: products, Stripe checkout, orders
• Deploy and iterate on Vercel
• Use GitHub Copilot in VS Code to move faster without sloppy work
• Follow structure, naming, and revision process so handoffs stay clean

Must-have experience

• 2+ years building websites with Next.js (React, TypeScript, Tailwind)
• Have already shipped several websites — personal projects, freelance, or professional client work (live links required)
• Have already built at least one e-commerce site with Stripe (products, checkout, and related code — not only a plugin drop-in)
• Experience integrating APIs / third-party services into Next.js projects
• Daily use of Visual Studio Code and GitHub Copilot (or equivalent AI coding tool)
• Familiar with Vercel and Supabase
• Strong attention to detail — layout, forms, edge cases, mobile, copy
• Reliable, hard-working, finishes what you start
• Able to work in office at the beginning (Montreal West area). Once the workflow is reliable, the role can move remote.
• Available 15–30 hours per week

• Part-time: about 15–30 hours/week
• Pay: $18–$25/hour depending on quality and independence
• Start in office so we can align on stack, SOPs, and quality
• After the workflow is proven, remote is possible

• Bâtir l’e-commerce dans le code : produits, checkout Stripe, commandes
• Déployer et itérer sur Vercel
• Utiliser GitHub Copilot dans VS Code pour avancer plus vite, sans code sloppy
• Respecter la structure, les noms et le processus de révisions pour que les handoffs restent clairs

Expérience obligatoire

• 2 ans et plus à construire des sites avec Next.js (React, TypeScript, Tailwind)
• Avoir déjà mis en ligne plusieurs sites — projets perso, pigiste ou clients (liens live obligatoires)
• Avoir déjà construit au moins un site e-commerce avec Stripe (produits, checkout et le code qui va avec — pas juste un plugin drop-in)
• Expérience d’intégration d’APIs / services tiers dans des projets Next.js
• Utilisation quotidienne de Visual Studio Code et de GitHub Copilot (ou un outil d’IA équivalent)
• À l’aise avec Vercel et Supabase
• Grand souci du détail : mise en page, formulaires, cas limites, mobile, textes
• Fiable, travaillant, tu termines ce que tu commences
• Capable de venir au bureau au début (ouest de Montréal). Une fois le workflow fiable, le poste peut passer en télétravail
• Disponible 15 à 30 heures par semaine

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
