About the Role We are looking for a strong Tech Lead to drive engineering delivery for Serina, our AI-powered AP Invoice Automation platform. You will work closely with the Software Architect to translate architecture into high-quality implementation, lead development efforts, mentor the team, and ensure timely delivery — especially during mission-critical milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a squad of backend and frontend engineers to build scalable and secure product features. Translate architectural specifications into detailed technical designs, development tasks, and sprint deliverables. Hands-on development in Python, FastAPI, and related backend frameworks. Implement and enforce CI/CD practices, code quality standards, and automated testing. Drive development of multi-tenant SaaS, event-driven microservices, async processing, and data pipelines. Support integration with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite) using standardized APIs and messaging. Collaborate with AI/OCR teams to implement intelligent document processing workflows. Focus on performance, observability, and optimizing cloud resource utilization in Azure. Troubleshoot complex issues, guide juniors, and lead from the front during crunch situations. Work cross-functionally with Product, QA, and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth deployments.
Required Skills & Experience
6–10 years in software development with at least 2–3 years in a Tech Lead role. Strong expertise in: o Python, FastAPI, REST API design o Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage) o PostgreSQL / Azure SQL, caching layers, async processing o CI/CD tools — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions Good understanding of: o Microservices, containers (Docker), compute scaling o Secure coding practices and API security o Logging, monitoring, alerts, and distributed tracing Experience leading teams and delivering complex sprint commitments. Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to take ownership and drive decisions. Preferred Qualifications Experience with finance automation or ERP integrations. Familiarity with Celery, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis. Knowledge in OCR/AI pipelines, vector search, or NER models. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2/GDPR) for SaaS products.
