ENVIRONMENT:
OUR client, a growing international startup consultancy, specializes in custom implementations of their platform software to drive digital transformation for financial institutions and multinational organizations. They are seeking the expertise of a Director of Business Consulting with strong commercial acumen and versatility. You will be the lead for multiple clients and internal teams and responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities, then design and deliver solutions through to a managed service. These services will improve the end customers' business performance. You will be expected to introduce new relationships and lead existing client relationships at senior levels, gain an understanding of their business issues and digital priorities. Then define a set of value-based issues, which by working with technical specialists, can be translated into solutions that can be built.
DUTIES:
- Hold existing relationships that could be monetised by the business with proven sales success in a consulting environment.
- Work with senior relationships to identify their business issues that could be solved by the platform and create compelling high level value cases.
- Lead the design of core solution components and the implementation of digital change.
- Be comfortable taking personal accountability for the risk associated with outcome-based pricing and delivery complexity.
- Be aware of Global trends in automation, leading practice and innovation.
- Define information and data requirements that meet the digital needs of our clients.
- Design and oversee Agile implementations.
You will also have been responsible for work delivered in complex environments, where sticking to critical deadlines and managing commercial relationships, not based on time and materials, are the norm.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Educated to Degree level.
- Strong track record of completing commercial agreements and impactful messages to senior stakeholders.
- Have worked in a consulting environment, with excellent experience of building new client relationships, monetizing existing relationships, deal origination where an RFP does not exist, selling and solution design for complex business process improvement.
- Have led design-led solution workshops and re-design complex business processes.
- Have led clients to enable cloud solution adoption.
- Strong commercial acumen linked to achieving client outcomes.
- Demonstrates strong versatility and can thrive in innovative situations.
- Viewed as an expert in your chosen field.
- Have a strong background in Client handling, leading commercial agreement and change, diagnosing business model improvements that require data automation solutions.
- Have a strong desire to deliver process automation and not PowerPoint.
Client related domain experience that is required -
- Mining and commodity related operational improvement.
- Supply Chain and logistics digital operational process improvement, outside of implementing traditional ERP systems.
ATTRIBUTES:
- As a high performing professional with a demonstrable track record, it will be important to build deep trusted client relationships, whilst being a well organised self-starter and leader who can manage their own workload and those of assigned team members on a project basis.
- You will be expected to have good commercial acumen and experience in digital solution design where delivery has been in a fast-moving environment dealing with complex clients.
