About the Company
Our client is a seed-stage AI startup building the context layer that makes AI genuinely useful across the enterprise — connecting dozens of workplace apps through a proprietary knowledge graph so AI can act with full organizational context, at a fraction of typical inference cost. Early traction is strong, with enterprise customers already in the pipeline and a fast-growing team. This is a first-engineers-in-the-door opportunity to shape technical architecture and engineering culture from the ground up.
Founded 2023 · ~25 people · Industry: AI, Enterprise, B2B, Software Development
The Role
Join as one of the first engineers building the foundation for the next era of enterprise AI. This is a hands-on, full-stack role for someone who thrives on ambiguity, moves fast from idea to production, and is obsessed with making customers happy.
What you'll be doing
- Building and shipping across the full stack — from deep AI systems (context graphs, model routing) to traditional application code
- Guiding early technical architecture decisions that will scale as the company grows
- Using AI aggressively in your own workflow to maximize velocity and output
- Mentoring junior engineers and helping establish the engineering culture
- Partnering with product on vision, strategy, and roadmap
Tech stack: GoLang, TypeScript, Python; AI/ML APIs and prompt engineering; local LLM deployment and high-volume inference; Kubernetes / unmanaged clusters; Google Cloud.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of full-stack software engineering experience
- A track record of building and shipping products from zero-to-one in real production environments
- Hands-on AI-native development experience (for example, Cursor or Claude Code)
- Experience with AI/ML APIs and prompt engineering, especially local LLM deployment and high-volume inference management
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and self-directing without detailed specs
- Experience mentoring or managing junior engineers, or a genuine interest in doing so
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to Haves
- Using AI to build AI — personal AI projects count too
- Kubernetes or unmanaged cluster experience
- Proficiency across GoLang, TypeScript, and Python
Why Join
- Be one of the first engineers at a hyper-growth, seed-stage company redefining how organizations use AI
- Real ownership over architecture and engineering culture at a formative stage
- Build genuine AI depth — the context layer behind the product, not a thin chat wrapper
- Full-stack scope spanning AI systems and application code
