Logistics Assistant
The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities to maximize delivery efficiency for incoming and outbound shipments. This position plays a key role in communication with internal and external customers, ensuring goods are transported and delivered in a timely and efficient manner for internal purchasing, external purchasing, services, and customer requirements.
Essential Functions
Coordinate logistics for incoming shipments from vendors and outgoing customer shipments paid by Dedienne, as required, using air, ocean, ground, and parcel transportation services. Prepare and verify all required shipping and transportation documentation in compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Monitor shipments and delivery schedules, ensuring orders are properly tracked and status information is communicated in a timely manner. Identify and resolve transportation issues promptly, actively participating in developing solutions for problems, delays, discrepancies, or other logistics-related issues. Communicate and follow up with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal departments to ensure transportation issues are resolved and deliveries are completed as scheduled. Coordinate export transportation activities, ensuring compliance with applicable customs and logistics requirements. Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, delivery schedules, and transportation documentation. Prepare and provide shipment status reports as required. Work directly with the Logistics Manager Americas to identify, prioritize, and support business improvement opportunities aimed at optimizing logistics processes. Apply knowledge of customs, logistics, transportation, and traffic operations to support efficient movement of goods. Perform other logistics-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Coordinator.

Education:
University degree in Logistics, International Business, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, traffic, or a related field. Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments. Knowledge of customs, logistics, transportation, traffic, and export processes. Experience working with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other transportation providers. Experience with shipment tracking, delivery coordination, order follow-up, and logistics documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365. Bilingual English/Spanish required. ?
