**Process/Function Description: Senior Analyst, FX \& Precious Metals Options Confirmations**
This position lies within the FX and Precious Metals Options Confirmation Team. The role would be to draft and review Confirmations and process all Outbound and Incoming Confirmations tasks across the FX and Precious Metals Options Trades and focusing and ensuring the timely confirmation retrieval within the EMIR and DFA requirements.
Individual needs to have eye for detail, drive, passion for such work, and be a self\-starter. Excellent spoken and written English and French are critical for success in this role. Meeting customer service delivery within agreed operating guidelines and the respective currency payment cut\-off time and due diligence requirements are also a core aspect of this role.
**Key Responsibilities;**
**Trade Confirmation Processing:**
* Perform affirmation, matching, indexing, and confirmation retrieval activities for FX and Precious Metals Options transactions. * Monitor and ensure timely receipt and execution of confirmations in accordance with regulatory requirements. * Investigate, resolve, and escalate unmatched or outstanding confirmations. * Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes. * Handle confirmation\-related queries from counterparties, trading desks, and internal stakeholders.
**Regulatory \& Risk Management:**
* Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including HKMA, EMIR, DFA, and other market regulations. * Support operational risk controls and identify potential processing exceptions. * Escalate risks, breaches, and control issues promptly to management. * Comply with internal policies, operating procedures, and control frameworks.
**Stakeholder Management:**
* Build effective working relationships with Front Office, Middle Office, Legal, Compliance, and external counterparties. * Provide timely updates and resolutions on outstanding confirmation issues. * Deliver high\-quality customer service and support across all communication channels.
**Process Excellence:**
* Assist in identifying process improvements and efficiency opportunities. * Participate in system testing, implementation projects, and operational initiatives. * Support automation and transformation initiatives within the confirmations function. * Contribute to continuous improvement of procedures and controls.
**Team Support:**
* Serve as a subject matter resource for confirmation\-related activities. * Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members. * Support departmental objectives and SLA commitments. * Participate in cross\-training and business continuity activities. * **Skills \& Competencies**
**Technical Skills**
* Strong understanding of FX and derivatives products. * Knowledge of trade lifecycle and market operations processes. * Good analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Data analysis and reconciliation skills.
**Communication Skills**
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship\-building abilities. * Professional email and business communication skills.

**Knowledge \& Qualifications (***For the Role \- Not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role***)**
**Knowledge**
1\) Experience in FX and Precious Metals Options and Derivatives Knowledge would be an added advantage.
2\) A degree in accounting/finance/management/Business Administration. Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations commensurate with the position.
**Experience**: Not Mandatory
**Skills**
1\) Ability to speak and understand English and French fluently**. French language proficiency minimum of level B2**.
2\) Ability to write business letters and reports
3\) Good conversational / telephone skills.
4\) Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately.
5\) Possess knowledge on MS Office with good numerical and analytical skills.
6\) Flexibility to work shifts.
7\) Ability to build rapport with and relate to and effectively develop a wide range of people.
