Role purpose Lead finance across Digico Solutions, combining direct responsibility for daily operations with financial guidance to the CEO, Deputy CEO and business leaders. Safeguard cash, ensure reliable reporting and compliance, and support profitable growth across cloud services, AI, consulting, managed services and resale. Build effective controls and scalable processes, develop the Finance team, and coordinate external accountants, auditors and tax advisers where specialist support is needed.
Key responsibilities
1. Accounting and financial reporting
Own the full accounting cycle and monthly close within 7 working days, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, foreign currency revaluation and intercompany balances. Maintain consistent accounting policies and a suitable chart of accounts. Produce accurate entity and consolidated reporting, including intercompany eliminations, under applicable accounting standards and IFRS where required. Prepare statutory financial statements and audit schedules with external accountants as needed. Coordinate external audits and resolve findings within agreed timelines. 2. Budgeting, forecasting and business support Lead the annual budget and rolling 12 month forecast with department heads. Translate sales pipeline, delivery capacity, hiring plans and business priorities into financial assumptions and scenarios. Present a monthly management pack covering profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budget variances and profitability by entity, business line, client and project, with clear recommendations and action owners. Evaluate business cases for recruitment, investment, service development and market expansion. Challenge assumptions and advise management on affordability, returns and financial risks. 3. Commercial finance and profitability Review pricing, project budgets and financial contract terms with Sales, Presales and Delivery before proposals are issued, covering delivery costs, cloud charges, discounts, payment milestones and currency exposure. Track project and recurring service margins with Delivery. Analyse utilisation, unbilled work, scope changes, cost overruns and estimated costs to complete, and agree corrective actions with accountable managers. Assess the financial impact of renewals and cloud consumption commitments. Escalate deals outside approved margin or credit parameters for management approval.
4. Revenue, billing and partner reconciliation Translate signed contracts and statements of work into accurate billing and revenue schedules for fixed fee projects, time and materials, managed services and cloud resale. Reconcile invoices to delivery evidence and contractual milestones. Apply appropriate revenue recognition policies, including IFRS 15 where applicable. Maintain contract asset and deferred revenue schedules, and document principal versus agent assessments for gross or net resale revenue presentation. Reconcile AWS and other partner charges, funding claims, incentives, credits and Marketplace settlements with the AWS Alliance Lead or relevant partner owner. Track evidence, claim deadlines, recoveries and reconciliation differences. 5. Cash flow, treasury and cost management Maintain a 13 week cash forecast updated weekly. Monitor liquidity, upcoming obligations and foreign currency exposure, and flag funding requirements early. Own receivables and collections, working with account owners to resolve disputes. Monitor ageing and days sales outstanding, recommend credit limits and payment terms, and escalate overdue balances and potential losses. Manage banking relationships and supplier payment schedules within approved authority. Review expenses, subscriptions and overheads against budget, and recommend savings while protecting delivery commitments. 6. Tax, statutory compliance and payroll Maintain a compliance calendar for every entity. Coordinate applicable tax registrations, returns and payments, including VAT, income or corporate tax, withholding tax and Zakat, with qualified local advisers. Ensure compliant electronic invoicing, including ZATCA Fatoora where applicable. Maintain supporting records and coordinate intercompany tax and transfer pricing requirements, tax queries and regulatory updates with advisers. Validate payroll calculations against inputs approved by People & Culture, including salary changes, commissions, deductions, statutory contributions and end of service provisions. Arrange payment through authorised approvals and reconcile payroll to the accounts. 7. Financial governance and internal controls Maintain finance policies, procedures and controls covering purchasing, expenses, billing, credit, payments and financial approvals. Monitor compliance with the authority matrix and escalate exceptions. Separate transaction preparation, review and approval. Ensure independent authorisation of payments and sensitive supplier or bank detail changes, with documented management reviews where team size limits segregation. Protect financial and payroll information through appropriate access, retention and audit trails. Report suspected irregularities, material errors and control weaknesses promptly, and track corrective actions. 8. Team leadership, systems and improvement Supervise and develop the Finance Associate, set objectives, review outputs and arrange backup coverage. Coordinate external service providers and hold them accountable for agreed deliverables. Maintain reliable finance data and effective links between accounting, forecasting, HR, sales and project systems. Document procedures and improve the speed and quality of reporting. Use approved automation and AI tools to simplify recurring finance work, with appropriate access controls, human review and measurable improvements in accuracy or efficiency.
Candidate profile Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. ACCA, CPA, CMA, ACA or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressive finance experience, including 2 years owning the full accounting cycle and financial reporting for a services or technology business.
- Experience with multiple entities and currencies, budgeting, cash management, project profitability, external audits and coordination with local tax advisers. Experience supervising a small team is preferred.
- Strong IFRS knowledge and practical revenue recognition experience. Exposure to Lebanon and GCC operations, especially Saudi Arabia and the UAE, is an advantage.
- Cloud, SaaS, IT services or AWS partner experience, including resale and partner funding, is strongly preferred. Fluent English and Arabic are required.
Systems and analytical skills Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and strong financial modelling capability. Experience with cloud accounting and planning systems is required. Familiarity with Zoho Books, ScaleXP, BambooHR and Notion, or equivalent platforms, is preferred. Ability to use reporting, automation and approved AI tools effectively.
