Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our innovative technology team. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed test cases, scripts, and automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Jenkins to streamline testing processes.
- Execute functional, system, regression, performance, load testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify software features meet specified requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts during requirements gathering to understand project scope and define test strategies aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; troubleshoot issues related to APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), databases (MySQL, Oracle), and system configurations.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or TFS to enhance release management efficiency.
- Conduct performance testing utilizing LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under various load conditions.
- Support DevOps initiatives by automating deployment verification processes and assisting in troubleshooting software issues across different operating systems including Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Tester with a strong background in software testing methodologies including functional testing, system testing, UI testing, and API testing.
- Hands-on expertise with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver combined with programming languages like Java, C#, Python or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SDLC models such as Waterfall and Scrum/Agile methodologies; experience working within collaborative teams using Jira, GitHub, GitLab or SVN for version control.
- Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB; ability to perform data analysis and write complex SQL queries for validation purposes.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), web services (SOAP/REST), and related protocols.
- Strong debugging skills combined with excellent analysis skills for identifying root causes of defects; capable of performing technical support during release cycles.
- Familiarity with development environments like Visual Studio or Eclipse; experience with build tools such as Maven or Ant is a plus.
