Indeed Job Title
Conversion UX Strategist
Job Description
We are looking for a research-driven Conversion UX Strategist who can understand a client’s business, product or service, target audience, and campaign objectives, then independently develop a complete landing-page strategy designed to turn visitors into enquiries and leads.
This is primarily a conversion strategy, research, content planning, and client communication role—not a website design or development role.
You will be responsible for deciding what a landing page should communicate, how its sections should be organized, what information visitors need at each stage, and how the page should guide them towards taking action. You must be able to develop a strategy from scratch without relying on a ready-made layout, predefined section list, or existing design reference.
Before design begins, you will prepare a structured strategy document for client review and approval. Once approved, the strategy will be translated into landing pages using AI-powered design tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client, Business & Audience Research
- Understand the client’s business model, products or services, value proposition, and campaign objectives.
- Research the target audience, customer needs, intent, pain points, motivations, and common objections.
- Study competitors and relevant market positioning to identify opportunities for stronger messaging and differentiation.
- Understand the traffic source and campaign context to determine what visitors expect when they arrive on the page.
- Identify the primary conversion goal, such as generating enquiries, booking consultations, requesting quotes, or capturing leads.
2. Landing-Page Journey & Conversion Strategy
- Independently plan the complete visitor journey from the first screen to the final call to action.
- Decide the order of sections based on visitor intent, information needs, trust, and conversion logic.
- Determine what visitors should see first, what questions need to be answered next, and what will motivate them to take action.
- Define the purpose and role of each section, including headlines, value propositions, benefits, service details, proof points, FAQs, and calls to action where relevant.
- Establish the messaging flow, CTA placement, and trust-building elements needed to reduce hesitation and encourage enquiries.
- Create a logical content hierarchy that communicates the client’s value clearly and addresses customer objections.
- Develop page strategies from scratch rather than waiting for clients to provide a layout, section list, or design reference.
3. Content Planning & Information Gathering
- Define the content, evidence, business information, and supporting details required for every section.
- Identify gaps in the client’s information that could weaken the page’s clarity, credibility, or conversion potential.
- Prepare focused questions to gather missing information from the client.
- Determine which claims, differentiators, testimonials, case studies, credentials, or other trust elements should be included, based on the information available.
- Provide clear messaging direction and content requirements so the design team or AI tools can translate the strategy into a page.
- Ensure the proposed content aligns with the client’s actual services, audience, and campaign objective.
4. Strategy Documentation & Client Approval
- Prepare a clear, structured Google Doc outlining the complete landing-page strategy before design begins.
- Document the client’s business, campaign objective, promoted service, and primary conversion goal.
- Define the target audience, customer intent, key objections, and information visitors need to make a decision.
- Present the recommended page journey and section-by-section structure.
- Explain the purpose, content requirements, and information hierarchy of each section.
- Outline the messaging direction, CTA strategy, and recommended trust and credibility elements.
- List the missing information and questions that need to be resolved with the client.
- Explain the reasoning behind the recommended structure and how each major decision supports the conversion goal.
- Present the strategy clearly to the client, address feedback, make revisions, and obtain approval before moving into design.
5. AI-Powered Page Creation & Collaboration
- Translate the approved strategy document into clear instructions for AI-powered landing-page design tools.
- Ensure the resulting page follows the approved messaging flow, section structure, CTA logic, and content priorities.
- Review AI-generated pages for alignment with the approved strategy and flag inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, marketers, or other team members when needed to ensure the intended conversion journey is implemented correctly.
- Refine the strategy based on client feedback, campaign requirements, and available performance insights.
6. Conversion-Focused Decision-Making
- Justify recommendations using customer intent, business objectives, user psychology, and conversion principles.
- Evaluate whether each proposed section contributes to clarity, credibility, objection handling, or action.
- Avoid adding sections simply because they appear on other landing pages or standard templates.
- Prioritize the information visitors need to make a confident decision.
- Keep the page focused on its intended conversion goal rather than treating it as a general company website.
Experience
- Experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO), UX strategy, landing-page planning, digital marketing strategy, content strategy, or persuasive copywriting is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in client research, marketing funnels, customer journey mapping, or campaign planning will have an advantage.
- Freshers with strong analytical thinking, research ability, structured writing, and presentation skills may also apply.
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools is beneficial, but independent strategic thinking is more important than tool expertise.
Who Can Apply
- Candidates who enjoy understanding businesses and figuring out why customers should choose a particular product or service.
- Individuals who can independently plan a landing page from a blank document without relying on templates or predefined structures.
- People who can organize complex information into a clear, persuasive visitor journey.
- Candidates comfortable explaining strategic decisions to clients and defending recommendations with sound reasoning.
- Applicants who can identify missing information, ask focused questions, and take ownership of the planning process.
- Individuals who understand that an attractive design alone does not guarantee conversions.
Tools & Platforms
Google Docs, Google Search, competitor research tools, AI research and writing tools, AI-powered landing-page design tools, and other tools used for customer research, content planning, and conversion strategy.
Must Have
- Strong research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand a client’s business, target audience, and campaign objective.
- Ability to independently create a complete landing-page strategy from scratch.
- Strong writing and information-structuring skills.
- Understanding of customer intent, objections, messaging hierarchy, CTAs, and trust-building elements.
- Ability to explain the purpose of every major page section using clear conversion logic.
- Confidence in preparing strategy documents and presenting recommendations to clients.
- Willingness to take ownership of the strategy before design begins.
Important: This role is not suitable for candidates whose main strength is visual design or who need a ready-made template, section list, or reference page to decide what a landing page should contain. The core requirement is the ability to think strategically, plan the complete conversion journey, document the reasoning, and secure client approval before design starts.

Benefits:
- Cell phone reimbursement
