About the Role
As our SEO Manager, you'll oversee SEO campaigns across multiple client accounts, guide the SEO team, and ensure strategies are executed effectively. You'll combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to drive organic growth while improving team performance and campaign delivery.
We're looking for someone who can lead people, solve complex SEO challenges, and take ownership of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee SEO strategies across multiple client accounts, aligned with business goals and performance targets.
- Lead, mentor, and support SEO specialists, ensuring quality work and timely delivery.
- Manage campaign priorities, workflows, and performance across technical SEO, content optimisation, and link-building.
- Oversee technical SEO audits and guide the resolution of crawling, indexing, site architecture, and other technical issues.
- Work with developers, content writers, and account managers to implement SEO recommendations.
- Monitor performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and similar tools.
- Analyse results, identify growth opportunities, and communicate insights through clear reports and actionable recommendations.
- Stay up to date with Google algorithm updates, AI-driven search, and emerging SEO best practices.
Skills & Experience
Required
- At least 2 years of SEO experience, with demonstrated leadership or SEO management experience.
- Proven experience leading SEO campaigns, mentoring team members, or managing an SEO team.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, keyword research, content strategy, and link-building.
- Proficiency in Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or equivalent.
- Experience with WordPress and a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts, prioritise workloads, and deliver measurable results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Important: This is a management role, not a purely individual-contributor position. Applicants must demonstrate genuine leadership or SEO management experience.
Nice to Have
- Previous digital marketing agency experience.
- Experience with Webflow, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
- Proven results in local SEO or complex technical SEO projects.
- Familiarity with AI search optimisation.
What You'll Get
- Fully remote position.
- Opportunity to lead and develop an SEO team.
- Exposure to diverse Australian businesses and challenging SEO projects.
- High autonomy and ownership of campaign strategy.
- Opportunities for professional growth.
