Job Description – Dispatch Manager
Department: Dispatch / Logistics Industry: Plastic Manufacturing Designation: Dispatch Manager Location: Angam location ( Near Sarigram) Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily dispatch activities as per customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Stores, Sales, Accounts, and Logistics departments for smooth dispatch operations and verify finished goods, quantities, product.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents, invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, packing lists, and transport documents.
- Ensure proper loading of plastic products to prevent damage, leakage, breakage, or deformation during transportation and Follow FIFO/FEFO.
- Proper Monitor customer delivery schedules & transporters and prioritize urgent or important orders.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports for management.
- Lead and supervise dispatch operators, loaders, warehouse staff, and helpers.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time dispatch to Delivery Percentage & Accuracy.
- Vehicle utilization & Transportation cost per shipment.
- Customer complaints related to delivery & Damage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of dispatch, logistics, warehouse, and transportation operations
- Communication, Team management, Leadership ability & quick decision
- Good knowledge Basic Computer & Ability to work under pressure.
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
Experience: 6–10 years of experience in dispatch/logistics, preferably in a plastic manufacturing, packaging, injection moulding, extrusion, or FMCG manufacturing company.
Preferred Experience
Experience in handling:
- Plastic containers, bottles, caps, components, or moulded products
- Finished goods warehouse
- Local and interstate dispatch
- Transporter management
- Customer and distributor deliveries
- Safety-conscious and disciplined
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
